Tuesday yumminess!

What was I recently saying?! Oh yeah… let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…

Well, I can definitely say that winter got my memo. Who would have thought that the Rain dance I learnt in Monument Valley would be so helpful?! I sightly modified it (obvisouly, rain and snow… same same BUT different), winter clearly needed some help and voila: it has been cold and snowing for the past two days. Ooops! But hey, at least, we finally have an almost decent winter – could be colder and whiter though, no? That said, I’ll be happy to leave this cold weather behind. I am now ready for warmth and lighter clothing. What can I say? As much as I love spending time in the mountains snowshoeing (and apres-skiing), I love my weather as hot as my food, hot, hot, hot! I blame it on my Spanish roots. Ariibaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Not long now (in 23 days, 12 hours and 57 minutes but who’s counting?) until sweater, socks, hat and scarf become some non wanted accessories! *satisfied moan*. In the meantime, I’ll just have to enjoy this “perfect” weather to bake some “almost paleo” cookies and snowshoe some more! *double satisfied moan*. Thanks so much ThankYourBody for a wonderful recipe, easy and fabulicious! Those are perfect served with a hot cuppa while reading a good book. I am currently reading “The Martian” which is a brilliant book, very entertaining. Mark Watney is a fun character to follow (somehow love smart ass people, wonder why…) and I really enjoy the writing of Andy Weir. I have not seen the movie yet but it is probably one of those I should get when I return from my long journey. Now, if you do not mind, I have a date with sassy Mark and maybe I will have a tea, a nothin’ tea!

“I started the day with some nothin’ tea. Nothin’ tea is easy to make. First, get some hot water, then add nothin’.” Andy Weir, The Martian

Happy trails and remember: Carpe Diem!
