This is now official: I gave my notice at work and from end of March onwards, I’ll be backpacking Central and South America with the beautiful man my heart decided to love.
It feels great to finally talk openly about this new project! When I said the best dream is called a project, I meant it. When I said not to quit pursuing your dreams, I meant it and in just over four months, I’ll be following my heart against all odds.
It was not an easy decision to make, a major dilemma kept me thinking for months: career vs love & adventure ? Was it possible for me, career oriented and workaholic, to quit a great job to go backpacking for 6 months +?
Between you and me, I never thought my heart would win this battle. One morning though, I woke up and I knew: it was time for me to start a new chapter and I’m so very much looking forward to exploring Central and South America. Only 130 days to go but who is counting?
I’ll have many things to organize until A&M hit the road so watch that space to see how you get ready to leave everything behind to travel a few months! (With most probably a few freak outs along the way! Haha).
